Based on your age and farsightedness, there is a very good chance that you’re a candidate for Laser Vision Correction (All-Laser LASIK, Epi-LASIK/PRK), but it is difficult to determine which procedure is MOST appropriate for you without knowing your exact prescription, corneal thickness and corneal shape. All-Laser Wavefront LASIK is the most common type of Laser Vision Correction procedure performed in the United States. LASIK is FDA-approved to treat up to +6.0 diopters of farsightedness and 6.o diopters of astigmatism, as long as certain measurements are within normal range to be medically advisable. Wavefront Epi-LASIK may be the procedure of choice if your corneas are thin or asymmetrically-shaped. Based on your age and farsightedness, we would most likely NOT recommend SMILE, or EVO ICL.
