GOOD NEWS! YOU’RE PROBABLY A CANDIDATE FOR LASER VISION CORRECTION!

Based on your age and other answers, there is a good chance that you’re a candidate for Laser Vision Correction (All-Laser LASIK, Epi-LASIK/PRK), or a Raindrop/Kamra Corneal Inlay, but it is difficult to determine which procedure is MOST appropriate for you without knowing your exact prescription, corneal thickness and corneal shape. That’s why we recommend scheduling your free consultation, so we can determine your best and safest option. Learn more about your potential options:

If you’re primarily bothered by having to use reading glasses for near work, there are a couple of great options for you to consider. First, it is important for patients over age 40 to understand about an age-related change that affects near vision, called Presbyopia (Dysfunctional Lens Syndrome). Depending on your specific scenario and near vision requirements, at your consultation we will discuss all about Laser Vision Correction and an option to improve/preserve near vision called Monovision (“Blended Vision”).

All-Laser LASIK is the most common type of Laser Vision Correction procedure performed in the United States, as long as certain measurements are within normal range to be medically advisable. In some cases, Wavefront Epi-LASIK may be the procedure of choice if your corneas are thin or asymmetrically-shaped. In some cases, we may recommend the Raindrop/Kamra Inlay way to help improve your near vision so you don’t need readers. Lastly, some patients will prefer striving for perfect 20/20 distance vision and are not opposed to using over-the-counter readers for near work. Let’s see if we can help you sort through this stuff!
