Dr. Angela Vuong is passionate about helping her patients improve their lives with Modern Vision Correction and had the EVO ICL procedure several years ago.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Vuong graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from University of California at Davis. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley, and became a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the Optometric Honor Society.
Additionally, dedicated to helping our U.S. Military Veterans see their best, Dr. Angela Vuong completed her Residency Program in Primary Eye Care & Ocular Disease at the Veterans Affairs Clinic in the Pacific Northwest.
In her free time, Dr. Vuong enjoys traveling, crafting, and baking.
Dr. Eddie Chen obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of California at San Diego. He then completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at UC Berkeley.
Growing up in the Bay Area, Dr. Chen had the poorest vision of anyone he knew. When he became an EVO ICL patient, he was pleased to get rid of his glasses and contact lenses. He especially enjoys his vision while scuba diving, traveling, and watching his favorite team play – the San Francisco 49ers.
Dr. Chen enjoys helping his patients simply wake up and see through Modern Vision Correction. When not doing so, he can be found eating and exploring with his wife and dog.
By providing thorough eye exams and comprehensive consultations, Dr. Choi helps her patients on their journey toward visual freedom.
Born in Seoul, Korea, Dr. Julia Choi moved to Canada at the age of 15. She attended University of Toronto and received her Bachelor of Science Degree with Honors majoring in Human Biology and Psychology. Dr. Choi then attended New England College of Optometry where she received her Doctorate of Optometry.
Dr. Julia Choi underwent her SMILE LASIK procedure in 2020, after struggling with the hassles of glasses and contact lenses for over 20 years! Dr. Choi looks forward to guiding her patients through the life-changing benefits of Modern Vision Correction.
Dr. Choi speaks fluent Korean. She enjoys hiking with her family and friends as well as ballroom dancing with her husband.
Dr. Monica Liou is passionate about guiding her patients through the process of Modern Vision Correction.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley. She completed an additional Optometric Residency in Primary Eye Care & Ocular Disease at the Veterans Affairs Optometric Residency Program.
Dr. Liou is fluent in Mandarin and English. During her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family. She enjoys exploring new areas and trying new restaurants. When she has time to herself, she enjoys yoga, baking and watching The Bachelor.
Dr. Angela Chu began working at the Laser Eye Center of Silicon Valley as a patient counselor in 1999! After witnessing thousands of our patients undergo a life changing vision correction procedure, she decided to go to Optometry School and become an eye doctor too.
Dr. Angela Chu received her Bachelors degree from University of Maryland and Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry. She is married with 2 very active children.
