All treatments are administered personally
by Dr. Gary Kawesch, a board-certified ophthalmologist.
Injections are not delegated to lesser trained
personnel such as nurses or medical assistants.
BOTOX was developed as a therapeutic agent
at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA by Dr.
Arthur Rosenbaum, an ophthalmologist who found
it was useful to treat eye muscle disorders. Dr.
Rosenbaums work on this was in the late
1980s, when Dr. Kawesch was a resident at
the eye institute.
As an ophthalmologist, Dr. Kawesch is
highly qualified to offer BOTOX treatments. Ophthalmologists,
or eye surgeons, have an extremely specialized
understanding of the anatomy of the muscles, bone
and connective tissue around the eyes.
We offer treatment in a comfortable, state-of-the-art
center.
The treatments administered are the standard
recommended 67 units per milliliterno watering
down of the medication is done to cut costs.
